Here at Hedgy, our mantra is ‘comfort for the people, kindness for the planet.’ This is more than just a brand slogan for us though, it’s something we live by! We are passionate about making socks that are not only not bad for the planet, but are actively good for the planet!

Our socks are all ethically made from recyclable and sustainable materials, meaning they last longer, are better for the environment, and prevent the amount of clothing that ends up in landfill. But on top of all this, we want to do good! With this in mind, we donate 10% of every purchase to UK wildlife and environment charities! This means that every time you purchase a pair of charity socks from Hedgy, you’re doing your bit for the environment too!

At the moment, we support two incredible charities: Vale Wildlife, a wildlife hospital and rehabilitation centre, and New Horizon Youth Centre, a London-based homeless charity. We donate 10% of our profits to Vale Wildlife and provide socks to vulnerable young people experiencing homelessness through New Horizon Youth Centre.

How do I know if the socks you’re donating are good quality if they're marked as 'factory seconds'?

While our factory seconds may have tiny imperfections in the material or packaging, they are still of excellent quality and definitely wearable. These socks are carefully inspected and meet the same high standards as our regular products. The only difference is that they couldn’t be sold as new, so we donate them to young people in need, preventing waste and helping those who require support.
